I’m Katie, new(ish) mum to Savannah Grace.
I’m married to a lovely man that is almost as mature as our baby. We run a cafe together in Windsor (Cinnamon Cafe) and have a cat called Chai that bullies us and along with Savannah runs the house.
I have a degree from Royal Holloway that I will never use; its more of a hindrance that anything, especially as it was literature based and I can never answer any of the literature questions in crosswords or on Pointless/Eggheads!
I am old before my time! I’m not ashamed of it at all, I’ve embraced it as a fact of life and I roll with it. I live in tracksuit bottoms, drink gallons of tea and moan about anyone between the age of 14 and 19.
I love to cook and bake, and eat. I plan my days, my holidays and time away around being able to eat. It’s one thing that I’m fairly sure I’m at good!
I knit and love to make stuff, even if half of the time the projects I start are never finished. I think I prefer picking what I want to make and starting it better than doing it. The few items I have managed to finish give me a warm and fuzzy feeling.
I swear an awful lot, and do smoke a bit, but I’m trying to stop both with the presence of bubs.
Like any other new mum I’ve had all my preconceptions of pregnancy, labour and child raising dashed. Reading mummy blogs helped me realised what other mothers have been through and so I’ve decided to chip in and give my two cents. I can also have a bit of rant!
